Beautiful Morning

by Timothy   Oct 14, 2004

Opening my eyes, relenting the odyssey of dreams that had enraptured me,
I can let go of the nightscapes of horror, to a pleasant vision;
The pureness of your sleepy smile sends shivers through my body,
The love I feel is a straight-line precision.

Holding you while still in bed, our heads of hair are a chaotic wreck,
The warmth of our bodies is an exhilaration like no other;
The feel of your caress is such a pleasure,
With this gratifying union under the covers.

A small kiss, and a little nimble,
This is our precious time together;
We don't have an immeasurable amount of it,
But it's a beautiful morning, here with you, and I wish it would last forever.

    the moments when we are asleep-
    i can't explain how you wrote this, but
    it has an abrupt edge to it-like two
    stanzas blended-it is very good-
