Hey, not exactly sure I understood this poem. What was the gift to the father and mother? Maybe I'm havinga dense day, but please explain.

I took it from a chartor in time she helped Cortez conquare the Aztec in the 1700 century this was supposed to be based on her life. She was origionally slaves of the Aztec on the coast but she was free by the spanards and told to work as a translator. Later she becam Cortez's wife thats how the story went.
