She don't know...

by Jamie   Oct 14, 2004

Sure it’s true she is blood,
She will always be my mom,
With this said she thinks she knows me,
But that is where she is wrong...

She thinks I’ve got it together,
She thinks I’m strong as glue,
But I don’t have the strength to tell her,
That it’s all an act I threw...

She don’t know how much I need her,
She don’t know how much I cry,
I bet you that she’d never know,
All the times I tried to die,

She don’t know how much she hurt me,
She don’t know I’m torn apart,
With all she did, with all she said,
She has broken all my heart,

The funny thing is, she thinks I’m happy....

She don’t know how much I love her,
Or how much that I crave her love,
I’ve built a wall, to protect me,
So now when she pushes, is when I shove.

She don’t know how hard I try,
How I push until the end,
To make her proud, to hear her praise,
For this, I’ll surely back-wards bend...

She don’t know I can’t live without her,
She don’t know I fear abandonment,
How much it hurts when she chooses him,
When all I want is a parent.

She don’t know how much she hurt me,
She don’t know I’m torn apart,
With all she did, with all she said,
She has broken all my heart,

The funny thing is, she thinks she knows me...

Aww, that was sad, but really well written. I agree with the pain within, if you do find the courage, you really should show your mom this, tell her how you feel ye know? i might not know much, but if she saw what you wrote and felt about her, maybe something inside would make her change, and she'd treat you more in a respectable motherly way. awesome poem, and keep writing. :)
