My Poem To A Friend

by Robert   Oct 15, 2004

How can I tell you what you mean to me,
How can I say you’re the key for me being free.
Tell me my friend I still have not a clue,
As to why you all my friend it was you who had to be true.
Away we are but we still speak about the joy of life,
And aid each other when we are caught up in our own strife.
We bonded this friendship with words and sealed it with a sense of sharing,
But out of it all this I just want to take this time out and say thanks for caring.
You are my muse, a friend someone that I know that will always be there,
Even in those dark days when I know life is not fair.
You make me ponder what I struggle to know and hear,
For you are my guiding light when I can only fear.
Now we are left to words nothing real or something we can touch,
But know this even though you are away I still love you very much.
So gather all the work and poems you can muster,
And together over the phone we will read our cluster.
I will learn from you as you do from me,
And together we shall let’s wisdom be set free.
There is no one I would rather learn the world then you,
For my dear friend you are of the brightest few.
Let these words echo your ears and stick to your heart,
I am your fried and nothing shall tear us apart.

Hey, this was good. You have real heart in writing, but may i make one suggestion? Use spellcheck. I know I also get in a hurry sometimes, (especially if I have a lot to write) and it really helps.
