Transformed

One day i came to see you
and you didn't recognize
the girl standing in front of you

you remember this girl
but she was smiling
wearing pink and blue

pink lipstick
and blue eyeshadow
now the very same girl
wearing black, black and black

lipstick, eyeshadow, and eyeliner
all the the blankness of black

combat boots
and fishnet shirt
throw you off completely

i tell you i love you
and your surprised
i can even feel

its such a change
from what you remember
but you look deep in your heart
and realize you still love me

you return my hug
and say you love me too
and you make another realization
you will always love me

we hug for awhile
and then i leave
but not with out
shedding a tear
