Old Photographs

by MistressMoonim   Oct 15, 2004

When I look at old photographs,
I don't see me,
Not the misguided teenager
Trying to come clean

When I look at old photographs,
I only see smiley poses
Not viscous tears
Threatening to spill over

When I look at old photographs,
I see the people time forgot
Not the ones who shout
And threaten with the cops

When I look at old photographs,
I see pure, unblemished skin,
The blade was yet to be discovered
Along with all the hate within

When I look at old photographs,
I only see you,
And when there is no one left,
You'll tell me what to do.
