Death Is Upon Her

by Amie   Oct 15, 2004

Lift up a rock,
where my soul is hidden.
I am a shadow,
a mystery.

You will never find me,
just things that will resemble.
My heart aches with sorrow,
for I have lost...myself...

Here I linger in the shadows,
waiting for you to come.
I need you to save me,
before I am truly gone.

I can feel every part of me dying,
destruction is now overtaking.
I cry out for you...in pain,
but you never seem to find me.

It is too late,
I'm slowly fading...disappearing.
I fight to get back,
out of these shadows.

Your life is now tainted,
with the memory of me.
My whole being is shattered,
my teardrops flood my fears.

I'm slowly giving in,
letting go.
The things that make me hurt most,
is not pain, but the loss of you.

This is my death,
I see you crying.
I try to reach out to you,
but my body remains still.

I see myself,
lying on the ground.
I will always love you,
but you have to let me go.

And so you whisper your goodbye,
and gently kiss my cheek.
My soul is free,
but you will always be in my heart.
