Fallen

by SCARECROW   Oct 17, 2004

Obviously writen in my angel-madness era. Also, I do have a knack for losing my work, only to find it months later. This is a brilliant example.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She fell from the clouds in the sky above.
A lost soul with a cause for hope and love.
Now lying on this parched and merciless land.
The land of mortals who weild steel in their hands.
Her wings, so drenched in blood, are broken.
The ones to claim her now have woken.
She cannot rise for her strength is drained.
Even without manacles she is chained.
Now lying in a pool of her own blood
awaiting her demise.
Praying for her death to take her away
from the lies.
They run away, no-one to help
her
anymore.
My guardian of hope, my fallen angel,
your spirit is crushed, your body is mangled.
You gave more than your soul for me,
you gave your life, your immortality.
So shattered by my fantasies
of changing my reality.
I sought your help for selfish reasons
so the Lord has banished you for treason.
My endless screams of silence are now tainting your pain.
My heartlessness, your anguish, you are cursed by my hate.
Amongst the ruins and rubble for so long you have lain.
None can now save you, it is too late.
    This was a pleasure to read. The rhymes made it easier to read I think... and the imagery was very vivid.
    Good work!
