Incubus

by SCARECROW   Oct 17, 2004

No explanation needed, because it hopefully speaks for itself. Oh, the river Styx is a river of death that leads to hell.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Run, sexual being.
Run away, such frailty
failing in your recollection.
Blinded, martyr to desire,
this poison endocrine.
Nascent is the incubus.
Nauseating is your lustful sickness.
Smothered in delusions,
paint for me a picture
of failure.
Incubus, create for me
a new life to devour.
Recollection fading
with your diminishing time.
Soulful yet nefarious
you will find your way alone.
Just walk along the river Styx
and find where you belong.
Go to where you came from
incubus.
    Wow... beautiful... just like your other work, you definetely DO have a way with words.
    I just wanted to say thankyou for all your lovely comments on some of my poems, it makes me feel extremely happy that people out there appretiate it. I also would like to thank you for writing such beautiful poems (one day I aspire to write great poems like yours). I also would like to thank you for being my favourite poet on this site :) you truly are extremely talented.
    hey tiffany darl, i love your work. i envy the fact you can manipulate your words to say exactly what you want the reader to pick up on. Totally jealous of your talent and i mean it! have a look at some of my newer stuff if you want to, much better than my old shabby work, except for my "hello".
    Again, love your talent, envy the power it goes with!!
