Question the Unquestioned

by Unseen Exposure   Oct 17, 2004

Unthinkable thoughts
Are all I depict
Inside my mind
Alone in this crypt

Love is a demon
It’s nosy, intrusive
It cannot be trusted
It’s purely abusive

And, sadness is pain
It bleeds out in red
People are warped
They’d rather be dead

And what is depression?
Can it be defined?
There’s no words to describe
The pain on the inside

Bloody examples
And cuts of release
Put broken souls to rest
Bring them to peace

Caring is a waste
I fear passion is too
There’s no way to bring to life
The things we don’t do

Breathing is useless
When a heart’s filled with pain
It’d rather just suffocate
Put it out of misery and vain

People are finding friends
In unfailing lies
To explain their reasons
Why they suffer and cry

Truth is hidden
And sadly, not quite true
Contradicting explanations
Are what society fed to you

You took it with an open mouth
And a gullible ear
And you can’t understand
Why you’re drowning in tears

Question your faith
Your religion and hope
Because if you don’t
How will you ever know?
