Thank You

by Charlene   Oct 17, 2004

As You lay there hanging on the cross
In pain unbearable to human kind
You forgave the very ones who hurt You
You took all of our sins away
Every little thing we have done, and are going to do
You took it away before we existed

You took on such pain just for us
Just for the people of Earth
Just for the worthlessness of human kind
Compared to You in Heaven
We cannot compare, we are worth nothing
Compared to the majesty of you

But You took the pain because You care
For us. Us. Every one of us
You care about everything we do
Have done and are to do
And if only we could do the right thing
Then you would be pleased

You took the cross for us
You died for us
Thank You
We don’t deserve it
Your pain was the greatest gift we could receive
Thank You
