Even Perfect Girls Die

by Sara   Oct 18, 2004

Perfect Girl,
Perfect Grades,
Perfect Family,
Perfect Parents,
Perfect life,
Perfect Future,
All laid out for her.
Across the table.
Perfect Girl sobs alone.
Within the safety of her own mind.
Where no one can hear her,
where no one can see her doubt.
Not a single cry outloud.
For they will hear,
and they expect the world of her.
But she can't be perfect anymore.
All she wants is happiness.
So when the family leaves for dinner,
thinking she has too much homework,
the perfect girl
loads the gun
and holds it shaking.
She pulls the trigger
And falls into deep slumber.
Her family comes home,
And finds their perfect girl
Dead on the bathroom floor.
Screams, shrieks, tears.
Reading the note,
they learn things
of their perfect girl
that they never thought possible.
This perfect girl was lonely
And tired of being perfect.
She wanted to be happy
and that was all.
"I just can't be perfect anymore"
It said.
"I kept trying for all of you, but I can't anymore"
It read.
The Perfect Girl committed suicide.
Even Perfect Girls Die.
