Lost love

I used to say a prayer to god; that someday I would meet
Someone to make me happy, to make my life complete
And then one day I met a man, he stood out from the crowd
I gazed at him with such a glare; my heart was pounding loud

I knew he was an angel, sent from heavens home
Someone was sent to love me, to hold and call my own
And as I gazed in to his eyes, I was in love forever
Yes I have found my soulmate; we’d walk the earth together

So many different memories, we have made together
The many times he`s held me close, and been there through whatever
The happiness and tears we shared, Made love under the stars
The many times I looked at you, and loved the person that your are

So now the years have passed me by, and Ive lost my precious love
But I’ll never forget the angel I was sent from up above
I’ll remember him always; and the memories I shall treasure
Because you never forget your first love, not now and not ever
