The Solitude in Finding the One That Really Matters

by David Rethoret   Oct 18, 2004

They've come before,
The ones who pretended,
Used me and left me for dead,
Passing by,
Using my weakness,
Then she came,
Through the mist,
Past the flames,
Breaking the Wall i built,
And showing me the world,
In new eyes,
Nothing matters but this,
True love,
Never dieing,
Unflinching in its strength,
Untainted in its purity,
And never lost or forgotten by the one who came,
Saving my life,
Chasing away the demons,
Caring only for me in a way i don't understand,
Sheltering me from the cold,
The reciprocation of the love i have,
Captured by few,
Cherished by all,
And never forgotten,
It was found by one of the less deserving,
I have found my "nirvana",
My heaven,
The safe place in my life,
No words can explain the feeling,
Just the time i spend,
Looking deep into space,
Searching the darkest recesses of her soul,
Through her stars,
Her eyes,
My guiding light,
Leading me away,
Away from the flames,
And keeping the wall down,
Showing me all that does and will ever matter.
