Running From Death

by Stacey de Luna   Oct 18, 2004

Death is everywhere
You can't escape it
And yet people still think
That they can run from it
They try to avoid humans
Who live a wild life
But they end up alone
With nothing but a knife
They try to run away
And end up feeling pain
They end dying for no reason
Or end up in the rain
Wasn't it a worthless effort?
So why do people still run?
Do you honestly think that you're faster
Than a bullet from a gun?
Why not just embrace death?
It's coming for you anyway
Don't run from what you know is coming
Just stand in its way
