How can I thank you?

by Gem   Oct 19, 2004

How can I thank you,
When I owe you my life?
Sometimes I hated you,
For taking away my knife.

How can I thank you,
When I owe you my breath?
You saved me from myself,
You saved me from my death.

How can I thank you,
When I owe you my soul?
I was pointlessly drifting,
But you helped me gain control.

How can I thank you?
Because you’ve helped me,
Even when I made you ache,
Trying to be free.

I am alive because of you.
If we hadn’t have spoken,
I would have taken my life,
And surly be broken.

I cannot promise that
I will never hurt you again,
Because sometime it gets so bad,
I just have to surrender to the pain.
