There is a moment,
Between
Seeing, Smelling
Feeling, And being,
Before we react
either
Negative, Neutral
Or tagging it Positive,
Before it becomes causative,
That you touch the true meaning of life.
When you are completely aware
That things are just there
And are never there at all.
Before judging things as tiny or tall
Before recognizing skinny or fat
When it just is, and that’s that.
This moment called mindfulness
Is what we should achieve
To reach an internal bliss.
This moment is brief
Because we live in constant reaction
But live in this instant and receive relief
It not a second but a small fraction
Learn to make it long
And with life you will get along.
