Farewell Grandmother

by Robert   Oct 20, 2004

I look back on the year 2003
and what it held for me.
I don’t know what happen to you,
But I lost a grandmother that was always true.
I women of jest and hard working love,
Now as I speak she sits in the above.
Her stories still echo my mind,
and her gift to always find.
She taught to earn my way,
By going berry picking with me each day.
I am older now but the memories still haunt my mind,
And I am thankful that God let her be so kind.
They say that when you die the loved one come for you,
And I think that is true.
For in the end my grandmother missed her man,
And I know it was Gods big plan.
She did all she had done,
And she loved everyone.
I know she stands by Gods side,
So hopefully I have a seat on the inside.
