Broken Promise That Killed

by Haleigh   Oct 20, 2004

I looked around and shut my door
Sitting alone I started to crave
I promised I wouldn't do it anymore
All my blades to you I supposedly gave
Secretly I kept just two
I put the sharpest to my skin
I was only thinking about you
The line I made was oh so thin
Not thinking anything of it I went to sleep
I woke up in the middle of the night
And realized that I had cut a bit to deep
I ran to turn on the light
There was blood everywhere
To you I shouldn't have lied
Because it wasn't going to be fair
You were going to get a call saying I had died
That I had committed suicide
So I wrote you a note saying I was sorry
Begging you to forgive me
That I didn't mean to break my promise
And right before I was about to die
I signed it and said good-bye
