Running Away

I've never met someone quite as extraordinary as you
I didn't think angels like you existed, now i know its true
You make my heart go fluttery, my knees go shaky
Sometimes inside, I feel happy, sometimes a lil bit achy

I think about you everyday, I cannot fight the temptation
I am pretty certain now, its anything but infatuation
But see, we have a dilemma, its messing with my mind
I'm not your only admirer, there is another you will find

It's tearing me apart, like I'd been punched in the face
I'm not gonna stick around, so from the scene I will erase
I cannot let myself be hurt again, I couldn't bear it if I did

I'm going to try to get over you, the only way I know how
I'm cutting off all contact, I think it'll be best for everyone
In these situations I cannot stick around, I only know to run

Maybe someday we can be friends, but for now we cannot
I need to get of this mess, without losing everything I've got
