A Life For A Life

I place my fingers to your eyes so you could rest,
For love I know they tried to do their best.
You left just a few seconds ago,
but they the paper work will still be slow.
I brought you here so that we would finally know joy,
the birth of our love is a boy.
They told me I had all the time I need to say goodbye,
but my only question now is why?
It was only this morning that you gave me a kiss,
and we were in love a world full of bliss.
Now I lay my head on a hollow shell,
feeling like I am in some Earthly hell.
Without you how could I go another day,
well I must just to see our son play.
He never know how much you loved him for real,
and he will never understand the sadness I feel.
The darkness is now giving away to the light,
and I some how still feel you are in close sight.
I see the things that remind me of you,
and then I understand what I must do.
You gave me a son, and paid it with your life,
thank you my love and know you will the only one that will be my wife.
