Mrs. Maple

by Jacki   Oct 21, 2004

Old lady Mrs. Maple always did the
right thing.
Every Sunday went to church,
every night said her prayers.
Alway helping out the unfortunate,
lending her helping hand.
But the small little town came to
worry about her when 2 Sundays
came and went.
Mrs. Maples never showing up
for church forgetting about
lending her helping hand.
So some towns people dropped by
to see what was wrong.
Maybe she had fallen ill, to sick
to get out of bed.
Mrs. Maples was 60 plus years old.
But upon walking up to the womens
door.
It was pried open sometime ago.
When the towns people opened it
slightly to see,
a creek and a crackle came from the
rusted hinges it was placed upon.
An odor of death took them
all running back.
Except for one man who walked
through the door, went up the stairs
and looked in her bedroom.
There Mrs. Maples laid decayed
and eaten.
Her dog looked over with his teeth
sneering back.
But the horror wasn't over,
As he slowly walked back wards.
He noticed her fingers had been
sieved off her hand.
Her things were all over,
seems a robber must have came
in.
But then Mrs. Maples rose with
her bloody hands and eaten body.
"help me find my rings."
The towns man took off, running
as fast as he could.
Never ever looking back.
On her anniversary the day that
she had died,
You can see her in the window
bloody hands pressed up against
the window.
A cry through the wind for someone
to please help her find her rings.
