Trip of a life-time

by ~*^*~ longing to belong ~*^*~   Oct 21, 2004

The apprehension and excitement mix,
As the day draws closer and closer,
The knot in my stomach tightens,
As the time comes nearer and nearer,

I cannot wait,
Yet I’m terrified,
All the emotions,
Run through me inside,

The day the plane,
Finally takes flight,
That’ll be the day,
I finally know this is right,

I don’t know if,
I know enough,
It won’t be easy,
It will be tough,

Do I know the language?
Do I know the etiquette?
Should I be calm?
Or should I fret?

My face is white,
My hands shake,
My feet are cold,
And inside I quake,

I feel sick,
When I think of,
The trip I am,
About to embark on,
