Dark Creature

by Samantha lynn   Oct 21, 2004

The darkness is closing in
I feel the temptation near
Try just to ignore it
But am engulfed in my fears.
Hidden in the shadows
It makes me crazed and yell
“Give me peace and leave me”
“No more of this god forsaken hell!”

I need to get away now
From this tempting night
Giving into evil beforehand
Will never be just and right.
Yet as the world keeps spinning
I find this feeling grows
And the night seems to awake in mystery
That only the dark creature inside knows.

Shadows start to lose my mistrust
And night loses its fear
Should I turn from this life?
Erasing all my fears?
Following the night now
Colored in dark black and gray
The brightest color I wear is red
Only in the day.

Now changing my mind frame
And finding good in evils light
Knowing I’ll be hunted
If I don’t fight with all my might.

My will is to be this
Sly creature of the dark
Then why am I longing yet again
To see a bright sun and singing lark.

But unless I can stop the fury
That controls the deepest fear
Aa a monster of the night now
I’ll never let you near.
I don’t know if I can stop it
If you stay with me
Even with the deepest passion I feel for you
A night-hunter is my destiny.

Very well written. I love it. The only thing I can say to make it better is to seperate into stanzas.
