One last time

by Molly Elizabeth   Oct 21, 2004

You look into my eyes
one last time.
You see the tears roll down my face
You stand and stare blankly into
my eyes. You leave so many
words unspoken.
You don't know what to say.

You hear me cry with pain.
You look down to see me bleed.
You don't know what to do.
You don't know what to say.
You can hear my heart beat.
and even louder, you hear yours.
You see so much pain in my eyes.
Then you hurt because you know
You caused it ALL.

The blood runs down my arms
It soaks into the floor.
You stand pale, in shock.
You think of all the hurt you've caused. You try to speak,
but you can't find words.
Now I cause you pain.
I hope I've caused you pain.
You know this is all because of you.

I drop to the floor.
You run to catch my fall.
You hold me in your arms.
You feel my pulse dull...
you hear my heart beat fade.
Tears run down your face,
as you feel my pain within.

This isn't what you wanted...
You'd give anything to get me back
But it's not too late for me,
because a heart beat I lack.
I'm lying in your arms
blood soaks all around.
My hairs a raggy mess,
but that is when you see...

There was so much beauty in you and me.

You kiss my forehead,
as If to say good bye.
You cry out "God Forgive Me!"
And as you hold me in your arms...
you take my knife... and out of love for me, you take your own life.

Wow very mournful and beautiful. I love reading sad poems, and this piece is also one of the catching poems I have read. Well worded and flowing well. 5/5 all the way.
