Insomniac

by Nicholas   Oct 21, 2004

Sleep calls from across the room,
The candle convulses before her breath,
Light steps quickly around the page,
Shadows waltz with written script.

Fill the air with Poppy and Lavender,
Fragrances from the earth,
Fill the soul with smiles and joy,
Embracing the good day's death.

Pray for Heaven, martyr for H*ll,
Dream eternal dreams,
Sunrise and Sunset all she becomes
is in the end and not the means.
