My mother

by spike   Oct 22, 2004

My mother didn't return that night, and I considered it true.
but now here i am,shocked and in fright, feeling what it is like to lose.

to lose a mother,
to lose a friend,
i wrote this to her,
and this is what it said:
what ever you are,
i want you to know,
there's a hole in my chest
where my heart should go.
i long for your arms,
but they aren't there.
you were a charm oh, how i loved you so.
i dream dreams at night mommy why did you go.
i rolled up the poem,
pressed it close to my heart,
i placed it in her casket, now nothing could tear us apart.
she would miss all my life,
my achievements, my goals, she would miss me going to college, and having kids of my own. I've been covered in sorrow, but no tears streak my cheek instead, i look in to memories, as they are growing weak. I've lost my mother, I've lost my friend, i dedicate this to her this is the end.
