What's his name? (really sad)

by Bia   Oct 22, 2004

With her head in her hands,
she stared at the sky.
Her eyes watered up,
and she started to cry.

She wondered how one person,
could cause all this pain.
Then she heard a voice,
he asked, "what's his name?"

She smiled and said,
"How could you tell?"
He said, "My girl,
put me through hell."

"Soon after that,
she said we were through,
That's why I
can relate to you."

She smiled and said,
"you hit my soft spot.
I don;t know how to thank you,
but it means a lot."

He said, "no problem,
and I don't know if your ready to date,
but if your not,
I'll happily wait."

She nodded and said,
"I think I'm okay,
pick me up at six,
on Saturday."

Three months later,
they were going steady.
He smiled and said,
"I'm glad you were ready."

He kissed her hand,
and said, "I love you."
She softly whispered,
"I love you too."

Three years later,
on the beach one night.
They held eachother,
in the moonlight.

He kissed her hand,
and said, "you are my life,
do me the honor of,
being my wife."

The moon was shining.
The water was still.
She softly said,
"of course I will."

When the sun came up,
they got in the car.
But the engaged couple,
didn't make it very far.

The brights of a drunk,
obstructed his vision.
All over the news,
a head on collision.

The doctor said,
she'd be okay.
But he would be lucky,
to make it through the day.

The nurse came in,
to check his I.V.
He said, "please do,
a favor for me."

"Write my baby,
a goodbye note.
And put it in the pocket,
of her favorite coat."

"In the note tell her this..."

"I love you, girl.
I mean what I say.
I'll wait to see you,
up there one day."

"I'll love you forever,
though you couldn't be my wife,
please don't let it affect,
the rest of your life."

"When the moon shines, you can talk to me,
though it won't be the same.
Just please don't forget,
to tell me his name."
