Romeo & Juliet

by Lil Menace   Oct 22, 2004

As she lies asleep in her bed,
he knows not that she isn't dead.
he plants his very last kiss,
on her sweet, gentle lips.
not knowing, he has not lost his love yet
he drinks the poison, but will soon regret,
within seconds, he falls and dies.
she awakens and opens her eyes
sees that her love has commited suicide
so takes the dagger by his side
stabs herself and in turn dies
for she cannot live without his loving eyes,
gentle smile and caring heart.
she could not live with him apart
and he the same,
for their love was an eternal flame
which could never be blown out.
for this was a poem about
1 of the last scenes set,
for Romeo and Juliet...
