You start out with a structure, meter, form and style and then two thirds of the way along the trip everything changes. Why is this?

This made a promising poem feel stilted and uncomfortable instead of the easy, flowing read it started out as.

Regardless of the problems this poem does have things going for it. The message is clear and the sentiment is not only believable but earnestly felt.
