Our First Date

It was friday night,
You were no where in sight,
I was starting to get worried you might not show,
I was about to order one more coke and go.

When you showed up with that smile on your face,
We decided to leave and walk up Clark Ave and kept going straight,
Laughing and chatting along the way,
I was having so much fun I could have done that everyday!

We came upon a little cafe,
Whenever I was with you I never ran out of things to say,
You started goofing around,
You started making funny sounds.

So I threw my cherry from my ice cream at your head,
You looked at me and jokingly said "Thats it, your dead",
You then took your ice cream and smeared it all over my face,
I can't believe you got us kicked out of that place!

You looked at me and said "what do we do now"
I couldn't stop laughing and said "I can't believe you got us kicked out",
You laughed and let out a sigh,
And said "Neither can I"

You looked into my eyes,
And at that moment i understood why,
We had been brought together,
I wish we could have stayed together forever.

I think you are my one true amor,
I use to wait all day for those "surprise" knocks on the door,
But you won't be coming over anymore.

It's been a week since our very last date,
Absence really makes the heart ache,
Not a day goes by that I don't think of you,
And without you here I don't know what to do.

I'm sorry I asked you to go to the store that night,
Where some guys were just looking for a fight,
And when you walked out they took out a knife,
And because of them you lost your life.

Damn them for what they did,
I could never forgive them for this,
I never got to say good bye,
Now i sit here and cry,
Wishing to die,
I'll be with you again sometime soon,
When I reach my final doom.
