MY MASK

by Marcie   Oct 22, 2004

Everyday I wear a Mask
This Mask is my bestfriend
I put on the happiness and love
and wait for the days end

So people love my mask
and I fear that they might see
the depressed person behind my mask
and they wouldn't like the real me

I wear my mask so tight sometimes
So bad I want to hide
and there are only a few souls
in this world to whom I'd confide

For now this mask is working
but someday soon may stretch
and break at the seams so people can see
Under this mask is a wretch

*THIS IS A WRITERS BLOCK DAY!*
