Being Prepared

by MelindaJoy   Oct 23, 2004

I'm sitting here alone in my room
Thinking about all the hard times
Ive been through
Trying to get rid of all the pain

By putting a smile on my face
Trying to lace up
All the scares
As they tear more up

In my heart
Cause all those mesmerizes
Don't last
As my soul skips to fast

They are filled with
Depression, rape, revenge
As I member every fist
That hit my face

As the taste of blood
Falling down on my lip
Tasting ever
So sweet

I always feel cheated
And so incomplete
Going through so much defeat
As remembering the street

The street where I work
As I put on a smirk
And jerk
My personality around

Acting like nothings wrong
So they don't see this frown
But every time you are there
I feel so week

Like someone has pounded me
Into the ground
And the sounds of the screams
Filled with terror and fright

In the air
But as they say
Life isn't fair
But all I can do is be prepared

For everything that will happen next
For this complex life
And the objects
With projects that lay ahead
