I'll remember

by Kara !   Oct 25, 2004

When I was only four
You were my best friend
We grew up together
But then one day I left
My childhood days were over
My teens had just began
Make up, mags and boys
You were now far gone
You spotted me once before
I must have been fourteen then
You called my name, and I saw you
I was visiting my mum's friends
I thought about you some more
We shared the same birthday too
You brought in some sweets to school
I used to think the world of you
I remember what you looked like
The glasses and short hair
You wore those Thunderbird outfits
And that dependent little stare
I probably got you into trouble
You were always a quiet one
And when we'd play outside at break
We always had so much fun
Do you remember me?
I guess you probably don't now
I'm all grown up into a woman
I'm not just a little girl
I wish we kept in contact
I wrote letters to the girls
We could have stayed friends forever
But boys were a different world
Maybe we'll meet again
Maybe we never will
But I'll remember you for life
I'll always remember you
