Happiness never lasts.

Take a few steps back,
Into the past,
Where life was different,
And we were happy.

You’d look at me,
Like we’d just fell in love,
I’d smile and giggle,
We where in ecstatic.

Love is such a funny thing,
It toys with are hearts,
And hurts like darts,
Still today it pains me to see you.

Your smile it shines like the sun,
Glows in the dark,
Like a full moon,
Magical.

Now we hate all who do better,
Bitter, and sour we fight,
I don’t wish to hurt any longer,
I’m going to run away from the pain.

Till in the sunset I stand,
Away from the heart break at hand,
The suffering behind me,
To the future I look.

I don’t want to know,
What’s to come,
Nor do I want to remember,
What’s behind.

It’s gone, no more,
In the past,
It won’t last,
I’ll be sad once again.
