Ever sit and wonder how things
get the way they do
how what once seemed like a dream come true can turn into a nightmare

promises whispered in the dark
actually empty when viewed in the daylight

Dreams nothing but illusions
wants nothing but jokes

Smiles,hugs,promises turned so quickly into tears,shoves and loneliness
happiness and hopes so quickly crushed by reality

Kisses,touches,passion burned out by long days
empty bed,cold sheets

Walking around in a world so full of life but yet so empty and cold inside
New life, dreams yet dreamed of hopes yet thought of

Wanting to do whats right but not knowing what that is
so much to say but no words to say them with

Wishing you had stayed
but knowing you had to go
torn in two between hurt and anger
knowing blame lays withing praying for forgiveness

memories always haunting but forgetting would be dying

Words and shows of affection nothing but distant memories

Feelings of unattractiveness set in
wanting to hear those words but knowing waiting is in vain
always demanding but never giving
always mocking never appreciating
