God
A Touchy Subject
I Mean No Disrespect

God is a force
It connects all of us
We are all one
Religion agrees in form or another
And Science Says the same
Though they are “at odds” with each other
God is a single force of energy
Binding all things, you and me
Most religions thank him
And most praise him
Atheists don’t believe in him
Me being one of them
But I believe we were all of one hem
A single energy did we stem
That energy named “God”
A photon of light
That started it all
I believe that it is silly
To thank this “man”
To praise “His” hand
I think religion gives people reason
Not to resort to treason
That the scriptures
Give some nice rules on which to live upon
But that this force, this God, is just a force
One shared within all of us
Thanking one another
And living as sister and brother
Is better than thanking a One
Because He hasn’t really heard anyone
