Christianity

*I know, this is even touchier than my other one on religion, so please, tell me what you think, good and bad input, but don not rate me with your bias*

Christianity
Is a form of vanity
Everything is based
Everything is taken
Everyone who thinks it’s original
Is having their time waste
Whether you believe the flowing or not
It matters not, it need not be bought
What I am going to say is factually true
So don’t let it get you blue:
You see all of the saints?
What rests upon their heads?
A ring of light?
Where does this come from?
A little insight.
The Egyptians, sun believers
Not Christ believers
Had this idea first
They borrowed it for its worth
The Egyptians had sun disks
And with it the Christians took risks.
Christmas was not the day Christ was laid
I know, even though Sunday school says other
The bible states he was born in March
December is just cover
The 25 is a pagan holiday of sol invictus
Unconquered Sun
Is that not that fun? The day sunlight is longer
Often when religions conquer,
Adopt holidays to make conversion less shocking
Not to be mocking, but it is all lies
Changing beliefs to make it so the thing flies.
Keeping same holy locations, and holy dates
To acclimatize to the new faith
Use simple symbology
Substitute a different God.
They did not borrow from only sun worship either
They took “god-eating” to make you a believer
That is Holy Communion was borrowed from the Aztecs
Even the concept of Christ dying for our sins
Taken from an idea with wins
The self-sacrifice of a young man
To absolve sins of his people
Is not of Christianity’s steeple
It appears in the earliest tradition of the Quetzalcoatl
Even the image of god
Is just to seduce
Notice a similarity,
Between him and Zeus?
Modern religion is a collage
An extensive montage
As assimilated historical record
Of man’s quest
To understand the divine.

did your mom never tell you that blatant self-advertising is good? (btw, buy dj hi-tek's hi-teknology with an appearance by common, in stores now @ http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005CF74/103-4954571-4593415?v=glance ...also feat. talib kweli, buckshot, slum village, more...editor's review: " "The Sun God," featuring Common and Vinia Mojica, is a musical composition that is nothing short of perfect.")

"saying one thign to please a person, and saying another to please yet another person. "
no, since the ideas not oppose each other. otherwise, theres no point in converting people. it offers some leeway to everyone without straying from the basic beliefs. for example, no one started saying there were multiple gods. if you said that, im pretty sure someone wouldve beaten you to death. so its NOT 2-faced. either way, no one really knows what really happened, i mean we are basing the details of religion on people who never actually witnessed anything, they wrote it several years after the fact. here's my basic point: ITS RIDICULOUS TO START POINTING DETAILS ABOUT RELIGION SINCE THATS NOT THE POINT.

wow how are you going to advertise your crap on a comment for my poem? Geez, some people. Anyways, yes i know it was for transition. But that means that its complete bull. Like being twofaced, saying one thign to please a person, and saying another to please yet another person.

youre definitely missing the point...i mean i dont understand the releveance:

    Notice a similarity,
    Between him and Zeus?

sure, why not, if you get the right pictures, since most of the color video of zeus and god hanging out was destroyed in the great fire of 76. what people need to understand is trying to understand religion is stupid. for example, where you there when jesus was born? no, its all based on stuff written 100's of years after the fact. and also, borrowing was used to make the transition from other religions into christanism, for example, when the spanish came to america, they allowed the natives to mix their cultures to an extent, for example, they had (and still have) dances that were originaly "pagan" dances adapted into christianity. obviously christianity was forced on them, but thee mix was allowed to avoid problems

    whatever...

i gave this poem a 5 because this is the type of stuff i've been trying to tell people for along time. You really captured everything in it. I hope you don't get to much slack for this because I thought it was great!
