In time we grow
And memories fade
There are very few
I'll never through away
Those few memories
Have a lot in common
They're kept in a place
Where love can shine on them
All of these memories
Have everything to do
With happiness and love
Which once was me and you
They make me laugh
They make me cry
They make me wonder
What happened and why
They make me wish
You were still here
To show me I'm loved
And take away my fears
But then I remember
You're no longer here
Then I just lay in bed
With pillows full of tears
Maybe if you knew
How I really felt
Instead of believing them
You never would have left
But I can't change
Anything in the past
Even if I could
It probably wouldn't last
And I can't change
What people say
So here I am, alone
