Dear Love Lost,
I just wanted to call
And see how you were
But you don't want to
Talk to me anymore
It's been a long year
And we've grown so far apart
I know if we ever talked again
I wouldn't know where to start
So I'll start off here
By simply saying
I heard you were doing
Just fine without me
Well at least one of us is
I've never stopped crying
And unlike you
I've never stopped trying
I've been with other people
I'm sure you have too
But no one could ever
Treat me as good as you
I was hoping maybe we
Could give it another try
But I know all you
Would do is ask 'why?'
Because I know you think we
Were not meant for each other
So maybe I should give up
And not even bother
I'll just tell you I love you
And say a final goodbye
Maybe one day you'll come back
And realize I need you by my side
Until that day comes
All I can do is hope
