My Heart Opens Anon

by FTS Miles   Oct 26, 2004

In soft lamp glow I watch her white ghost move forward
Toward me, dress rustling in gentle loving movement,
Green eyes bright timid features questioning
'Tween tender smile and wistful sadness.
I turn toward the flame to escape my heart's
Painful memories strumming discordant chords within
My loving aching seeking sobbing soul.
I feel her gentle caress reaching through my
Ancient guards and wards, freeing my emotion
From its comfortable exhausting bonds.
I dream of white lace and flowing gowns,
Gliding through soft green fields copious with
Brilliant flowers, and I quiver with
The knowledge she cannot be truly here with me...
Our time is too long passed!
Yet turning me about with whispered words and
Loving exertion she holds her gaze to mine,
And I sense the reality of her Present love,
Her lips and body softly brushing mine,
And as our souls touch, I acknowledge she is here...
She must be here! (I need her here!)
Her soft form tender caresses whispered kisses
Gifted in moonlight lamplight soullight
And my heart opens anon...
