Without Him

by Manda   Oct 26, 2004

Cassie stared at him,
With tears in her eyes,
As she stood there,
And asked him "Why?"

Her heart was burning,
And her soul was churning,
With undying pain,
For he had left her so vain.

He had taken her heart,
And torn it apart,
Now what was she to do,
With her life so blue?

They told her in time,
Her misery would fade,
And cure the holes he'd made.

But as the months passed,
She slowly got worse,
Finding she was under,
Some sort of curse.

She'd hide in her room,
Cold and dim,
As the grief would consume,
Her every limb.

Finally she could take it no more,
She was not going to live,
In sadness anymore.

She went to the hallway,
When in the closet she would find,
The place where the gun was,
That her parents tried to hide.

After only 14 years,
And crying a million tears,
She could no longer live here.

Cassie wrote them a short note,
In it she said,
The reasons why she would soon be dead.

He'd torn out her precious heart,
And now there was nothing left,
She had done her best,
But now it was time to be put to rest.

He wouldn't listen,
He didn't care,
But tell him I'll always be there.

Cassie signed it,
I love him,
And then decided,
Her life had to end.

She lay down on her bed,
Where her sister found her dead,
With a gunshot to her head.

She fell to her knees and cried,
As she read the note,
As to why Cassie had died.

Cassie still had so much time in her life,
But she just couldn't handle,
All the pain and strife.

And with this her sister saw,
That it was all his fault!
He was why,
She had died.

She had tried and tried,
But it didn't help,
For the feelings she felt...
Were deep down inside herself.

She was nothing without his love,
And that she couldn't...rise above,
So she killed herself,
Because he was with somebody else.

[I am sorry, this is WAY long!! Lol. But I hope that everyone enjoys this, because this happens to teens all the time, and it's just a reminder of how painful love can be, no matter how wonderful it is. Please Vote & Comment.]
