I tried to write you a letter

I tried to write you a letter,
it took me till late in the night.
i felt i barely got started
when the curtains revealed the first light

i wanted to tell u the story,
of all my thoughts and my fears
but the ink had started to run
as it melted into my tears.

the first few words of my letter ,
"i dint really know how to start,
just as i thought we were closer
it feels were drifting apart "

you tried to tell me you loved me
but its really not what you meant
your as empty as a wallet
after all the money's been spent

you said you wouldn't hurt me
when i told you about my life .
and that i didn't want to
love again after the loss of my wife
but you dragged me in,
into your web of deceit
like a constant circle
like a constant repeat.
