Fleeting feelings

by BlackRose   Oct 26, 2004

Sitting, watching the patter of the rain
trying my best to forget this pain
someone i care about is not doing well
and theres nobody that i can tell

i pick up my phone and make the choice
i just want to hear the sound of your voice
everything you say and do
will help me to try and pull through

when i just cant take what lifes got to give
i wonder if its worth it to even try to live
the sound of your voice helps me to see
that i really have someone to care for me

all those times i cried myself to sleep
you were the one who caused me to weep
id walk on hot coals for many many miles
to get one of your elusive smiles

for you all the writers i have quoted
to show you how much im devoted
i have already told you how i feel
so tell me if what you feel is real

Sweet poem, different to all your others, longer lines in the stanzas.
