I loved the poem, it is definetely well written, definetely shows how humanity has changed... only one problem, I can imagine it :| ah well

The first part of the poem was making me worried about delusion. ;)

But the end is all the more poignant for the wishful start. Though I can't help but hope that one day we'll reach a state of peace. But, as you stated, that's obviously some time off (if it comes), and not in our lifetimes. Great poem.

this was wonderfully written. it is hard to imagine that kind of life. but you know what? i live my life that way because i have found that there is so much more joy in life in the simple things, rather than the fighting and the hate, the gang wars, the violence...the fight to see who is cooler than the next by killing some innocent victim, or raping them. i am 32 years old, but I'm not that far removed as most would think from that kind of life style. for those that are out there that are under the age of 18, i know it's even harder for you now than when i was coming up. crack and drugs and violence became popular when i was your age, so i know about most of what you are going through. things in society will probably never change. there is always going to be somebody elses war to fight, you just have to seperate yourself from that sh*t, and try to live a life that has meaning, because when it's all said and done, we're just dead, there ain't no going back to fix anything.
