OutCast

by Kevin   Oct 27, 2004

I reached out
phantom like
snatching sounds and pre-planned trinkets
little bits of distant feeling

days or so after
yearnings gone to the visual iceberg
my catch appears as if by magic

I meant that
I drew this
I see the cast, bite and landing

then
there's you
beset by sorrow tears and worry
I see you fish with phantom limbs
snatching thoughts and random whims

I am confused
you are distraught
for you do not want what you have caught

I don't know what silly person gave this a 1, it was very good in my opinion. Great description throughout it- especially:
I see you fish with phantom limbs
    snatching thoughts and random whims

But in your first stanza when you right "theirs you" is that suppose to be "there's you"? Correct me if I'm wrong.
    Another good poem ^^ I give it a 5!

I beleive we draw events and people into our lives by our thoughts. Some people like me, do this on purpose, in a conscious way...we draw good things. Others, and one of my friends falls into this category, seem to draw negative things without actually wanting to deal with them...but it's the same process.
