Dear dad

Dear Dad,
I know that I might not ever give you this,
That I will regret,
But in my mind,
In my heart,
In my soul,
This is another kind of bliss........
I think it helps to jot this all down,
To help the weary heart,
Just knowing,
That it will just make you mad,
Just like every other time........
I've tried to speak my mind,
But you would never listen,
You always turned things around,
To make me feel guilty,
Just like every other time...........
As your daughter I have certain rules,
Treat you with respect,
Love you more than life,
And it'll come back to you,
But I never got that from you.........
I truly believe that was forever,
For you showed me your true side,
All respect and love was put aside,
Like your after dinner plate.....
You never gave me the time of day,
To show you who I am,
Your DAUGHTER,
Your lil-LAMB.............
I'll keep trying to get the answers,
That, I souly need right now,
I'll just keep sailing that ocean wide,
Til I land at your door,
Waiting for the one thing,
The TRUTH of your means,
The reasons why,
You chose to set me free,,,
I'll be waiting.........
