Though I...

by Daniel Mulvany   Oct 27, 2004

Though I reached out for her hand,
I couldn't find her touch.
And like each blowing grain of sand,
She'd weathered far too much.
Though I felt the urge to cry,
With her every tear,
I couldn't do it because I,
Couldn't show her fear.
Though I saw her helplessness,
I knew not what to do,
Longing for her sweet caress,
To say that I love you.
And though I had kissed her goodbye,
I knew it wouldn't be,
'Cause I'll find her when I die,
In eternity.

In loving memory,
Pansy Mulvany
