Darkened Soul

This girl she waits just crying
Remembering what used to be
All the nights she's fought off dying
If only they all could see

The brokenness she feels
All the scars thats she made
She even refuses to eat a meal
Her image she just wants to fade

Her friend was there for awhile
But nothing did she do
She wouldn't even make her smile
So in heaven she's to pay her due

She once had a guy she treasured
her heart would skip a beat
The love they shared couldn't be measured
But it cracked under extreme heat

Her parents would forget her
Treat her like a kid
She wishes it wasn't such a blur
But for now her feelings stay hid

So now she lays alone
Holding her head in her hands
She takes the knife and cuts to the bone
Prays to god, "take me from this land"
