Diamond Necklace

by livefreebright   Oct 28, 2004

I bought this necklace shaped like a heart
Way before the very start
Filled with diamonds yet they were fake
My heart is still bleeding from your stake
I gave away my heart to you
You threw it back, moved on to new
Now all the diamonds have fallen out
With you and I there was no doubt
Now my necklace is old and worn
Just like the heart that you have torn

Hey that was a really great short poem. I can't write short poems so I'm really impressed with this one. I really loved it because I love the similie and how you managed to get your emotions through. I can really relate to it too so well done!
